Rare Chuao Cocoa bean used by Utah Chocoltier and premiered at Fancy Food Show in New York

“In the chocolate world, the “crown jewel” of all cocoa beans is the rare Chuao, which is grown in a lush valley in Venezuela and sun dried on the patio of a centuries-old church.

Only a few chocolate makers in the world have ever been able to buy or use this highly prized bean. None have ever been from America — until now.

Art Pollard, owner of Utah-based Amano Artisan Chocolate, will unveil a 2-ounce Chuao dark chocolate bar to the world on Sunday, June 27, at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.”
